He is a self-taught artist that has developed his expression
in sculpture, installation and recently video.
He is showing his work on a regular basis since the year
2001 and has shown all over the world including places like
Chile, Spain, Norway, Brazil, and Portugal.
Rute Rosas (1972, Oporto, Portugal)
She has studied Sculpture at the University of Fine Arts in
Oporto, and developed her studies into a Masters in multimedia
arts. Her actual practice is now as a multidisciplinary artist who
works in video, performance and sculpture.
She has been showing her work regularly since the year 2000 and
has accomplished a net of international contacts (Germany, Brazil,
Spain). She is also a lecturer and a teaching assistant in the
Sculpture course of the University of Fine Arts in Oporto

"It tells a story about a girl that was born different, she was half a mairmaid. Therefore, she had to be kept in water all time. However, her mother embrace the event and made profit of the difference. "

She received a Master of Fine Art from the Glasgow School of
Art in 2004. She works with sculpture and drawings but mainly
with video. Her videos are based on fictional documentaries and
characters that are all played by herself.
Since the year 2003, she has been showing her work on a
regular bases.

"She composes the music that is used in her videos and creates female characters based on personal experience. In this video she tries to objectify the female body without degrading it to a status of a mere object. "

She is currently studying in a Master of Fine Art course in
Copenhagen, Denmark.
She has been showing her work since 2001. She has been
working with the National Icelandic Dance Team
as a composer and video artist.
