Á sýningunni verð til sýnis prentverk, skúlptúrar og teikningar.

Niall Macdonald stundar masternám við Glasgow School of Art. Niall vinnur með prentverk, skúlptúra og innsetningar. Nýlegar sýningar eru The Breeder,Athens, Grikklandi, Beijng Institute for the Arts, Kína og Terrace Gallery,London.

Ruth Barker útskrifaðist með Master frá Glasgow School of Art 2004. Ruth er ein af sýningarstjórum fyrir Washington Garcia gallery í Glasgow.Ruth vinnur með teikningar, skúlptúra og texta. Nýlega sýningar eru Gallery Adler Frankfurt Þýskalandi og Intermedia Glasgow, en hún hefur einnig sýnt í Kanada, Ísrael, Japan og London.

Artist’s Statement
“Too close to my face, like Death”

Thinking about art as an investigative act is a way of thinking about how we might come to terms with the imagining of the world. The history of art becomes a history of these acts of investigation, which we can both build on and critique in order to refine.
The making of marks and objects can be seen as the moment of lending form to darkness and my own practice, partly formal and partly autobiographical, uses this as a way to approach images of Death and Nothingness. My work often contains a tension between that which can and that which cannot be controlled. The world leaves a series of stains and thumbprints on an idea.
My studio routine is to work on a series of related pieces simultaneously. I work intuitively and labour-intensively, producing a large volume of objects and drawings that are then edited and contextualised.
